Dr. David Gutwirth received his Bachelors of Science in Biology from Stony Brook University. In 1991, he attended New York University College of Dentistry and earned the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.). Born and raised in Brooklyn, Dr. Gutwirth became an associate dentist in a Bensonhurst, Brooklyn dental office. After five years as an associate, Dr. Gutwirth took over his existing practice in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. He has been serving the community for over 20 years at his present practice.

Dr. Gutwirth has been my dentist for 15 or more years. He and his staff are the best. Just recently when I had an accident and broke my front tooth that had a laminate on it. He was able to fix what I imagined was going to be thousands of dollars to repair at a very reasonable cost! I recommend him to all my friends and they all continue to go to him! Can’t go wrong with Dr. Gutwirth!
Highly recommend Dr. Gutwirth's office. They are super clean, professional, very thorough and take their time with you. You leave feeling fully informed and the level of care is very high. The wait is never long and overall atmosphere is comfortable.
Very good with children. None of my four children have ever been afraid of going to the dentist because Dr. David Gutwirth was their first and only dentist. I have seen my friends struggle with their children when it comes time for their dental check-up because their first experience was not pleasant, so the fear of dentists was instilled in them. Don't start your kids with a dentist you are not sure about... you'll regret it. The office staff are very friendly, they answer all your questions, and are always professional. From the front desk to the dentist's chair, the entire experience is pleasant and you don't feel like cattle being herded along to maximize profit. They take the time they need to provide excellent care.
It was my first time going and it was the most pleasant dental experience I’ve ever had. It’s sounds crazy I know. Dr Gutwirth was professional, methodical and careful while doing my cleaning and filling. His staff was also very courteous and professional.
I would give Dr. Gutwirth 10 stars if I could! I have been a patient of Dr. Gutwirth's for at least 10 years and I have received excellent care. The office is clean and the dentist and his staff are terrific. They even have convenient weeknight and Saturday appointments. Highly recommend!
I highly recommend Dr. Gutwirth and his amazing staff. I have been going there for many years and have always been taken on time. I get a very thorough cleaning and exam. Even when I had to go in for an emergency appointment I was taken in at my appointment time. The office is clean and the staff is friendly and really knows their patients.
